  • Are you accepting new patients?

    New Patients Welcome!

We are happy to welcome new patients of all ages—adults and children—to our practice!

    Medical Records for New Patients

If you or your child are new to our practice and need a routine/well visit, we kindly request that all prior medical records be sent to our office before scheduling your appointment. Having your records ahead of time allows our providers to:

    • Review your medical history thoroughly
    • Reduce wait times during your visit
    • Assign the appropriate appointment length
    • Confirm that your last routine exam was at least one year ago (as required by many insurance plans)

If the full chart cannot be obtained promptly, please have your previous provider fax at least:

    • Your most recent routine/well visit summary, and
    • Vaccination records (if applicable)

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to caring for you!

  • How do we contact the after hours doctor?

If you have an urgent medical condition and are a patient of Edison Pediatrics and Adult Medicine, we are available to help you during the hours that the office is closed. IN THE EVENT OF A LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY, CALL 911.

  • How do I obtain a prescription refill?

The ideal time to request refills is during your appointment with your physician.  However, if your need a refill between appointments please send a request through the portal.  The other option is to call our office during office hours and leave a message on the refill request voicemail.  It may take 2 business days for prescription refills to be processed.

  • I just gave birth. When should I schedule my baby's first doctor visit?

We recommend that your newborn be seen in our office 1-2 days after discharge from the hospital. Our staff understands the importance of this first visit and will make every effort to schedule this visit promptly.

  • How often does my child need to be seen in the office?
  • When will I receive lab or test results?

You will receive a call immediately with any lab results that require urgent attention. Other abnormal lab results will be addressed promptly by the clinician who ordered the labs or tests. Normal values are reviewed and addressed by the care provider who ordered them.

  • Can I meet my pediatrician before my baby is born?

Yes, in fact we strongly encourage parents-to-be to visit our office for a prenatal appointment. This is a great way to get acquainted with our office and our pediatricians. Visit our expecting parents page for more information.
