Dr. Sunita Satwani is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, bringing over 20 years of dedicated experience to her practice. She completed her residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, and until recently served the local community in Middlesex County at Optum Health in Edison, NJ, before establishing her current practice location.

With a deep commitment to children’s health, from newborns through twenty one years of age. Dr. Satwani provides comprehensive, compassionate pediatric care including well-child visits, immunizations, acute and chronic illness management and developmental monitoring. She has a special interest and expertise in diagnosing and managing childhood allergies and asthma, and is known for her empathetic approach, clinical judgement, and building long-term, trusting relationships with families.

In her prior tenure with Riverside Pediatrics and Optum Health, she earned recognition for outstanding performance and was honored with the “Physician of the Year” award for her commitment to high-quality, patient-centered pediatric care. Over the years, she has built a loyal patient base, reflecting parents’ trust and satisfaction in her care.

Dr. Satwani believes that parents are the best advocates for their children — she listens carefully, treats each child as if they were her own, and involves families in every step of care.

Outside of her profession, she is married to Dr. Prakash Satwani, a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at Columbia University. They have two sons in college and two cats, which makes them a happy family. In her free time, she enjoys travelling and making new friends — pursuits that reflect her warm, caring nature, and help bring empathy and understanding to her practice.
